Fruit Flies (Drosophila hydei)

Great for larger spiderlings (around 1/4”) or other small critters

Freshly started culture of hydei fruit flies

Hydei fruit flies have wings but cannot fly and are bigger then melanogaster flies

Cultures can sometimes get sloshed around during shipping, but will still contain eggs which will hatch and start the culture if no flies make it. Though most of the time the flies are ok as well.
